The UCU is a trade union and professional association for academics, lecturers, trainers, researchers and academic-related staff working in further and higher education. Although we operate throughout the whole UK, we have an autonomous executive in Scotland and our own annual conference and policies. Our executive has representatives of each branch on it (including our own). We get full time Staff support from the Edinburgh regional office.
